I think we should have an IB holiday party!

So I think, after having put up with all the craziness and stress, and some sleepless nights caused by the IB Programme, we should have a holiday party
Maybe if we all agree to bring something, we can have one to celebrate having made it this far (even if just barely) and to finish off the year on a good note.
So all those in favor say "Ay!" and maybe we can convince the teachers to find it in their hearts to let is have a fiesta in class.
By the way, to those teachers that don't already know, I am awesome at baking, and if we have this party, we all have that to look forward to.    :D

So I say, "AY!"

Theory Of Knowledge - Emotion / Faith as a Way of Knowing "Fairness"

Follow the link below and read the article called "Dogs Understand Fairnes......" This news report seems to assert that our sense of fairness is an evolutionary byproduct. However, when we did our unit on faith, many of our questionaires dealt with the idea of equality as a spiritual concept.

Are you more inclined to think your sense of fairness comes from evolution or from something beyond evolutionary development?

I have a mission for all of you, if you choose to accept it

I found The Cosmos television series by Carl Sagan on iTunes and I bought a couple episodes. In the episode, "The Edge Of Forever", Sagan talks about the 4th dimension and how it relates to the finite, yet unbounded nature of the universe. It led me to think, "How can I comprehend the 4th dimension in a 3-dimensional world?" I have a vague concept of how to describe it, but I wanted to obtain the perception of the 4th dimension from my exceptionally intelligent peers and teachers. Also, if you can exercise your self-control, I would appreciate it if you didn't use this topic to tell me and everyone else how much you loathe Carl Sagan and his work. Some of us have a lot of respect for him.

So who thinks their IOP will go well?

I don't know about you guys, but I am scared. I fell like I am prepared enough, I just can't present myself very well when it comes to oral presentations. I have a game all day on Saturday, so The only real work I will be able to put in is on Sunday and Monday after school. Ever since that guy from Tulsa came, I have somewhat been able to work harder and complete things without procrastinating. I read from Chapter 7 to 18 in TEWWG (Which turned out to be better than I thought) in one day. That, in my case, is unheard of, at least for a required reading. So I hope I can complete this minute by minute thing and have a decent presentation ready on time. I am just wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

Theory Of Knowledge - Emotion as a Way of Knowing

If I rub my dog’s belly she has an emotional reaction. Is her sense of happiness the same as mine when I feel happy? Does my consciousness and self-awareness add a depth to my emotions beyond my physical expressions?
